Since 2014 I have been practicing in Steinfurt, Germany as a non-medical practitioner (psychotherapy) according to the concept of Formative Psychology in my own practice. I give individual sessions and lead a fortnightly practice group. I am currently working on a model of teaching FP in German based on the existing literature and videos by Stanley Keleman.
When I began my studies in deaf education in Cologne in 1987, my neurologist recommended me to the Meister Eckehart Haus (MEH) in Cologne. He had met Stanley Keleman and the team at the MEH shortly before at a congress in the Black Forest. He heard about the concept of formative psychology for the first time and recommended it to me.
1997 – 2007 I was trained in Formative Psychology at the Institute for Formative Psychology in Solingen, Germany. My teachers were Carola Butscheid and Gine Dijkers.
From 1988 to 2021 I took individual lessons and participated in seminars and supervision groups at the Institute.
I regularly take part in the Somatic Education exercise group with Carola Butscheid and the Study Group with Leila Cohn.
I got to know Stanley Keleman personally in 2008 at the European Spring Workshop in Solingen “Dreams and the Body” and during his visit to Solingen as an honorary member of the Institute for Formative Psychology. To have experienced his personal presence remains a gift for life.
Thanks to Formative Psychology I was able to grow into the adult I am today, not being at the mercy of emotions, thoughts and involuntary reaction patterns. Being able to influence my behavior in a self-determined way with VME and to choose according to the situation, gives me life satisfaction. I use VME on a daily basis in my personal and professional life.
